Why does every Classical Guitar Teacher write books for us as if we're playing Carnegie Hall next weekend?
Every. Single. Book. I've read them all. I either need to invest in 15 volumes of 'graded' guitar material, or devote 10 years of my life to some crazy coursework. I just want to play.
I wanted a book with some great classical guitar music. I wanted some lessons that go with each piece to help me out. Why do I have to play 'Three Blind Mice' or some children's music to get to the good stuff?
I wanted some real classical guitar music I can actually play for fun, for my wife, for a friend's wedding, for some friends on the beach...
What I’ve tried to do with this book is simple; write the book that I wanted when I was starting out playing the classical guitar.
This not a graded book, however, the 25 pieces are in a deliberate order. Each piece should, for the most part, prepare the student for later pieces, and ideally other repertoire outside of this book.
I’ve included most of the heavyweights for you to sample including Bach, Sor, Carcassi, Aguado, Tarrega, Bach, Sagreras, and Carulli. I’ve also taken great care to select pieces which I think are simply, beautiful.

My First Amazon Review
What's in the Classical Guitar Book.
1
Classical Guitar Primer
This book is split into four sections. The first section, ‘The Classical Guitar Primer’, was written specifically for beginning guitarists and even those advanced players who are new to classical guitar music, terminology, and techniques.
2
Daily Guitar Practice Routine
In this section I wanted to cover some basics regarding technique and daily practice. Practicing is the most fundamental and important use of your time as a guitarist and musician. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced pro, you can always improve!
The Daily Classical Practice Routine is split into the following sections.
- Right Hand Arpeggios
- Scales
- Slurs, Ornaments and Left hand exercises.
3
25 Etudes and Classical Guitar Lessons
Each lesson that precedes the etudes follow a general guideline:
• A short composer bio and history.
• My thoughts on the piece.
• Any special chords, scales, arpeggios, or techniques needed to play the etude.
• Key Signatures, time, tempo, and other notes.
• Practice tips.
• Explanation of new musical terms or notation markings as they arise.
All Etudes include both TAB and Standard Notation.

Appendix: Guiliani's 120 Right-Hand Studies
We as guitarists owe essentially every useful right-hand finger-picking pattern to Guiliani and his 120 Right Hand Studies. Whether you’re an aspiring classical player, or a rock or blues player looking to improve your fingerstyle playing, I think you’ll find these studies an invaluable resource.
Bonus
Buying direct from the author has its perks!
"My goal when I wrote the book was to try to squeeze in 25 great lessons that would take an intermediate guitarist 2-3 hours each. Of course, that doesn't count the time memorizing the music..." All-in-all you're getting 50+ hours worth of lessons for under $20. An incredible value... but that's not all.
Guiliani's 120 Arpeggios
Look, I just can't say enough about these 120 right-hand studies. These are the building blocks of classical guitar technique.
I've seen them edited in other books or edited down. I've included 15 extra pages of the real thing. All 120 arpeggio studies with a lesson to accompany them. You'll love practicing these for the rest of your life. I guarantee it!
Audio + Guitar Pro
I've included a separate download of digital audio files for every piece in the book for reference.
I've also included the full Guitar Pro score that includes TAB and Standard Notation, separate from the book for your study reference. This is better than an old-fashioned CD. You can actually edit these files, speed them up, slow them down, add or delete notes, change fingerings, whatever you like!

The thing I love most about the internet; You just can't fake it. You can't fake good reviews and you can't get real people to say good things about your products unless they're good!
Since 2018 when I started selling my guitar books online, I've never had a bad review. I've never had anyone ask for a refund. I've never had anything but positive feedback and friendly conversations with guitarists just like you.
I answer every text, phone call and email and I LOVE to talk about guitar music, learning and what I can do to make you better. If for any reason you are not satisfied let me know.
Call, text or email anytime!

Author's Note
When I wrote my first book, I took some proven ideas and methods I had used with my own guitar students and organized them into a book. Since the 1990s I was writing method books, yet, I never really knew what to do with them. I feel that with this one, I’m finally getting it right.
Computers and the internet have greatly changed everything for aspiring authors, guitarists and musicians across the world. I hope that I’m still learning and improving, both as a guitarist and a writer.
My first two books and website have changed my life. I feel luckier than ever to be able to play guitar live, and write for a living. I never take it for granted. That is why I must thank you, first and foremost.
Without you the reader, student, music fan, with your own quest for knowledge, this would not be possible.
